The weather and things to do in Parpan

Because Parpan is at an altitude of 1493 metres and most of its slopes are above 2000 metres, you will be assured of snow there during the winter months whilst still getting a good amount of sunshine. Although the temperatures fluctuate around freezing during mid-winter, it often feels warmer than it actually is due to the elevation. This makes for the perfect conditions for skiing and snowboarding. There is also plenty to experience in and around the village. How about skating on the ice rink, or a ride on the 1.5km toboggan run? Cross-country skiing is also very popular there, and there are 56km of trails around the village. This area is even labelled as one of the best in the country by the Swiss cross-country skiing federation. Don’t miss out!
