Skiing in Drei Zinnen

The Drei Zinnen ski area is the jewel of the Dolomites and is rightly on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Drei Zinnen consists of five interconnected ski areas, offering no less than 115 kilometres of varied slopes. Some parts of the route are covered by the SALTO ski shuttle bus, so it’s easy to reach. These huts are the perfect place to warm up and experience South Tyrolean hospitality. An absolute must is the unique proseccheria at the top of San Candido. Drei Zinnen: fantastic for families

For families, the Haunold mountain ski area is an excellent choice. This family-friendly part of the area offers several small ski lifts from the valley, perfect for first time beginners. In addition to the practice slopes, there are five ski lifts there, giving access to 23 kilometres of slopes. In the evenings, the slopes are illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.

Don't feel like skiing for a day? Drei Zinnen offers many other activities. Why not go tobogganing or visit the Rotwand gondola, where you can feed some reindeer? It’s an unforgettable experience for young and old. With a bit of luck, you may even be able to spot wild reindeer on the slopes!

San Candido and Sesto

For a stay in the ski area, San Candido and Sesto are the best choices. San Candido, a charming town, offers a combination of traditional South Tyrolean atmosphere and Italian style. You will find several great shops, restaurants, and accommodations to suit every budget there. Sesto is smaller but exudes authentic alpine atmosphere. It is ideal for those who want to go straight onto the slopes from their hotel.
