Badia

The pleasant village of Badia is located at an altitude of 1,324 meters on the edge of the ski area. The village is characterised by an authentic Ladin architecture, which they are very proud of. Thanks to its peaceful and rural character, this village is perfect for winter sports enthusiasts looking for peace and tranquillity. It is also good to stay here for families with children; in Badia, you will find a children's area with its own practice lift where children learn to turn their first turns. Do not forget to visit the church of Santa Croce when you are here on vacation. The church is located at an altitude of 2000 meters and therefore has a beautiful view over Badia and the Dolomites.

Alta Badia

The magnificent mountain scenery of the Alta Badia ski resort in Italy is a sight you won’t soon forget. Located in the Dolomiti Superski area, its lush nature and snow-covered peaks create a breathtaking landscape. This part of the Dolomites is on the UNESCO World Heritage List due its two stunning nature parks.

The Alta Badia ski resort

The snow coverage in this area is the best in the Dolomites, and Alta Badia’s diverse slopes are kept well-groomed. The resort includes a total of 53 ski lifts, which have virtually no waiting times. Alta Badia is an amazing destination for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and skill levels, thanks to its wide variety of runs. Many of its accommodations have ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes, so you can get started right away. There are several atmospheric mountain huts by the slopes where you can grab a refreshment and take a break. The sun shines a lot in Alta Badia, and that warmth is matched by its first-rate hospitality and hearty cuisine.

With the Dolomiti Superski ski pass included when you book a Sunweb holiday package, you will have access to the 1200km of slopes featured in this vast ski area. Ski without limits whilst saving yourself time and money.

Winter activities

The Sella Ronda ski circuit runs all the way around the Sella massif. It is one of the most spectacular ski circuits in the world and is very popular. Its route goes through Alta Badia and connects it to the Kronplatz ski area. The circuit is approx. 42 kilometres long and can be skied in one day. Alta Badia is also very popular with snowboarders of all skill levels. Let the adrenaline rush through your body as you practice your freestyle skills at one of the local funparks. In Colfosco, there is even a kids’ funpark, equipped with arches, jumps, tunnels and other elements they can interact with and master in a safe environment.

If you need a break from your skis or snowboard, why not try out one of the resorts other activities? Spend some quality time together and go swimming, climbing, ice skating, or on a unique horse and sleigh ride.
