Valtournenche

Valtournenche is an authentic alpine village in Italy, situated at the foot of the Matterhorn and 8 kilometres from Breuil-Cervinia at an altitude of 1528m. The village is characterised by beautiful, rustic houses, a white bell tower, and memorials of historic alpine guides along the walls. This charming village has certainly retained its authentic and traditional atmosphere.

The Valtournenche-Salette gondola will give you access to the Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt (Switzerland) ski areas. Thanks to the connection to these areas, you can enjoy 200 kilometres of diverse ski slopes. After a memorable day on skis, you can find a high-quality and authentic restaurant in the centre for a delicious Italian dinner. Don’t miss the popular Foyer des Guides restaurant!

Are you interested in history? Then be sure to visit the Church of Saint Anthony and the Maison de l’Alpage museum. The church is famous for its beautiful white bell tower, and the museum is a great place to learn more about alpine pastures and agriculture, and how it has changed over the centuries.

Map

Breuil-Cervinia

The Breuil-Cervinia ski area in Italy is characterised by high mountain peaks and spectacular views. It features a modern ski lift system that will get you to the slopes in no time. It includes Valtournenche and is connected to Zermatt in Switzerland. Together, they form part of the Cervino Ski Paradise.

Skiing in Breuil-Cervinia

You can enjoy 360 kilometres of slopes in Breuil-Cervinia. Many of these slopes are flat and wide, making the area ideal for beginners. Don't worry though, the ski area also offers a number of black slopes for those looking for more of a challenge. Due to its high altitude, Breuil-Cervinia is also very snow-sure. The highest point of the area is Plateau Rosa, at 3480 metres altitude. It is a glacier slope that is covered in snow year-round. If you’d like to go up even higher, you can catch the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing (Europe's highest cable car) from Breuil-Cervinia to Zermatt. At that height, you can look out over many mountain peaks, including the magnificent Matterhorn itself.

When booking, you can choose between a Breuil-Cervinia ski pass or an upgraded ski pass for both Breuil-Cervina & Zermatt (a Matterhorn Paradise ski pass). Whichever you choose, your ski pass will be included in your Sunweb holiday package, saving you time and money.

Accommodation for everyone

There’s accommodation to suit everyone in Breuil-Cervinia, and Sunweb is here to help you find the perfect one for you.
