Vallandry

Vallandy is a small, cosy French village consisting of a number of authentic houses, farms, Savoyard-style apartment buildings and chalets. In the centre of the village there is an assortment of shops, restaurants, bars and a nightclub.

Skiing in Vallandry

The village of Vallandry is located at an altitude of 1600m in the centre of the vast ski area of Paradiski. It is located in the same area as Les Arcs which has over 117km of ski slopes. The resort of La Plagne is also accessible via a ski lift. Due to its central location in such a large resort, Vallandry is a perfect ski holiday spot for both beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Sunweb has a great collection of different accommodations in Vallandry. From cheap apartments, to large luxurious chalets there are ski packages to suit all budgets and group sizes.

Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry

Skiing in Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry

Together with La Plagne, Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry is part of the larger Paradiski ski area. The villages of Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry together form a ski resort with a total of 106 pistes in a 200km area. Les Arcs is the most well-known of the two, so it can get quite busy there, but you can usually enjoy peaceful skiing around Peisey-Vallandry. This is also reflected in the waiting times at the ski lifts, which are almost non-existent there.

For beginners, the slopes in the lower parts of Arc 1600 and 1800 are ideal for mastering skiing. For advanced skiers, the famous Aiguille Rouge black slope is the place to visit. This is perhaps the most challenging slope within the whole Paradiski area. With the top at an altitude of no less than 3200 metres, there is a fantastic 360° view over Mont Pourri, Pierra Menta, and of course Mont Blanc.

Discover La Passerelle on the Aiguille Rouge, a panoramic walkway at 3200 metres altitude. This walkway is accessible to pedestrians, children, and skiers. With a length of 35 metres, it offers you a breathtaking view over the Hauts de Villaroger nature reserve.

Activities in Les Arcs

Les Arcs features some fantastic snow parks. They are renowned as the most snowboard-friendly spots in all of Europe! At the 7.5-hectare Apocalypse snow park, be sure not to miss the Big Air competition, where you can watch the best freestyle skiers and snowboarders jump from a launchpad. You can also practise your stunts on the rails, boxes, and other obstacles there, including a water slide. Can you ski to the other side without getting wet?

Besides regular skiing or snowboarding, Les Arcs offers so much more. How about some ski touring, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, paragliding, snowshoeing, skijouring, dogsledding, or a visit to Mille8? Nothing is too crazy in Les Arcs!

La Folie Douce

La Folie Douce offers three restaurants right by the slopes. Enjoy great food, unique shows, delicious drinks, and of course some après-ski fun. Every day from 13:30 - 14:30, there is a cabaret show held there. Afterwards, it’s time for a party with amazing music played by well-known DJs. La Folie Douce is open until 19:00 and even later on Thursdays.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

The price includes a ski pass for Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry (Classic ski pass). A ski pass for Paradiski (Essential ski pass) can be booked at an additional cost.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for, for example, extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. If a child and senior discount applies, this will be shown in step 2 (price overview). Would you like to know which ski pass is included in your travel time? View our FAQ here .

Paradiski Essential ski pass:
With a 6- or 7-day ski pass for the extensive Paradiski area, you get a half-day ski pass for Paradiski for free. This is valid for the afternoon (12:30 - 17:00) on the day before the start of the ordered ski pass.

For example, you have a 6-day ski pass from Sunday to Friday. The free half-day ski pass is then valid on the Saturday afternoon before the ski pass officially takes effect.

With a 6-, 7- or 8-day ski pass for the extensive Paradiski area (Essentiel ski pass), you get a discount for certain activities. More information about these special offers can be found here .

Ski passes for children up to and including 4 years old are free. Seniors aged 75 years and older must pay a one-time fee of €10 when collecting the Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry (Classique) or Paradiski ski pass (Essentiel) locally. If you are entitled to this ski pass, you should choose 'no ski pass' when booking. You can pick up this ski pass onsite by showing proof of identity.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

You can specify ski and snowboard rental directly when booking. Check out our FAQ  for more information about equipment rental.

When you book ski equipment of the 'Gold' or 'Diamond' class, you can exchange this once a week for free snowboard equipment or freeride skis (not on weekends).

The following equipment can be booked:

Bronze

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.

TIP:
Tell our rental partner your exact requirements (e.g., off-piste skiing) so that they can help you select the right equipment.
You cannot book lessons in advance. You can arrange this yourself onsite.
