Montgenèvre

Montgenèvre (1,560m altitude) is an alpine village in France, close to the border with Italy. It has a rich skiing history and was first constructed in 1907. During the 70s and 80s, many new buildings were constructed, but the ski resort has retained its authentic charm.

Plenty of slopes and snow in Montgenèvre

Montgenèvre offers 85km of piste to explore, including 8 green slopes, 13 blue slopes, 17 red slopes, and 10 black slopes. This gives you a nice balance between easy and more challenging runs, with something for everyone to enjoy. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers will all feel at home in Montgenèvre. It’s the perfect ski resort for cross-country skiers too, with over 70km of high-quality trails that the French national team like to train on. Your ski pass for Montgenèvre will be included in your holiday package if you book with Sunweb, expanding the horizons of your ski holiday whilst saving on costs.

At Le SnowPark in Montgenèvre, snowboarders and skiers of all skill levels can let off some steam and work on their freestyle skills. This snow park features two 500-metre freestyle lines, 5 boxes, and 5 snow jumps for everyone to enjoy. Montgenèvre has an excellent snow report each year, so you can expect ideal snow conditions during your ski trip. You can ski there from late November until late April. Montgenèvre is also just 20 minutes’ drive from Briançon, a beautiful city that’s part of the large Serre Chevalier ski resort – perfect for even more variety!

A range of accommodation

Montgenèvre features a high number of ski-in, ski-out accommodations close to the slopes, so you can be the first at the top each morning. It is also a fantastic destination for a ski holiday with family, due to its quiet nightlife, first-rate ski schools, and great facilities for beginners. Sunweb has a wide range of accommodation to choose from, whether you’re looking for a cosy chalet or a luxury hotel & spa.

Monts de la Lune

Enjoy a wonderful ski holiday to the Monts de la Lune ski area in France! This area is located just a stone's throw from the Italian border. Its peaks are between 2,500 - 2,700 metres altitude and there are many snow cannons in use there, making it a very snow-sure destination. Monts de la Lune is part of the extensive Via Lattea ski area, which has no less than 400 kilometres of slopes. That means there is something for everyone, from beginners to advanced skiers, and from families to die-hard ski enthusiasts.

Besides the slopes, Monts de la Lune has much more to offer. Enjoy the après-ski scene in its many bars and restaurants, go cross-country skiing or tobogganing, or relax at a spa. Its unique location gives it a Mediterranean atmosphere, with mild temperatures and lots of sunshine.
