Praz sur Arly

The village of Praz sur Arly is located a few miles down the road from the well known ski resort of Megève. This authentic village is situated in scenic surroundings and from the pistes of Praz sur Arly you can enjoy stunning views of the Mont Blanc. Praz sur Arly offers plenty of options for both novice and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Novices can learn the basic skiing and snowboarding techniques in the area of La Rosière down by the village. For the advanced skier and snowboarder there are great options higher up the mountain towards Crêt du Midi and Ban Rouge which can both be reached with the chair lift Varoche. On the descent back towards Praz sur Arly there are even a few off piste options for the observant skiers and snowboarders.

Together, the many restaurants in Praz sur Arly offer plenty of choice for you to acquaint yourself with the delicious local cuisine. The shopping experience in the village is very diverse as well. There is no lively après-ski in the village, only a disco near the church square. If you want to enjoy the nightlife nearby Megève is a good alternative where you will find different bars, nightclubs and even a casino. For a winter sports holiday in a peaceful and scenic area with all the facilities at hand, Praz sur Arly is an excellent choice!

L'Espace Diamant

The villages of Les Saisies, Crest-Voland/Cohennoz, Flumet, Praz sur Arly and Notre Dame de Bellecombe all belong to the area of L’Espace Diamant with a total of 185 km (115 ml) of pistes. L’Espace Diamant is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc and is formed by the merging of Val d’Arly, Evasion Mont-Blanc and Espace Crystal. The resort is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of every level.

The mountain villages of Praz sur Arly and Notre Dame de Bellecombe in the Mont Blanc Region are two traditional villages while Flumet d’Arly (built in the 1950’s), has a more modern appeal. Access into the enormous ski area is well very well layed out. The skiing area around these villages is mainly within the treeline with low, stretched out pistes that are not too difficult.

The area near the villages of Les Saisies, Crest Voland, Cohennoz and Hauteluce has predominantly green, blue and some red pistes. Many lifts and pistes extend down into the villages.
