Alpe d’Huez is a part of the vast Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area in France. This area has a total of 249km of ski slopes and 84 different ski lifts. It also includes the resorts of Oz, Vaujany and Auris-en-Oisans. Alpe d’Huez is mostly south-facing, giving you plenty of winter sunshine during your ski holiday. An efficient snow cannon system has been employed to counteract this extra sunshine, so you’ll be able to enjoy the best of both worlds. Reaching 3330m in max. height and featuring a glacier, this ski area is fairly snow-sure throughout the whole winter season. It has over 100km of blue and green slopes in total, making it an excellent destination for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Thanks to the steady snow record freestyle skiing in Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski has become more and more popular over the recent years. As a general rule, the shops are open on Monday/Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. However, some shops may close over lunchtime. On Sunday and Monday, a selection of shops are closed. Some supermarkets are open on Sunday mornings.

Most motorways in France require you to pay a toll fee. The Pas Piccolo San Bernardo is closed the whole winter (November - June). Always check the locat weather reports before departing.

In some cities and towns it is obligaroty to have a "environmentsl sticker". It is not possible to buy these stickers en route. You will have to order them online before you leave home. Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

An Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski pass is included in the holiday price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. Ski passes for children up to 4 years old are free on presentation of an ID card. If you are entitled to this ski pass, please select "no ski pass" when booking. You can pick up your ski pass with a discount on presentation of your proof of identity.

Ski pass promotion:

With a ski pass of 6 days or more you can use the lifts in Les Deux Alpes for 2 days. Please note that these days are included in the number of days on your ski pass and cannot be added to it.

It is also possible to arrange 1 day of skiing in Serre Chevalier/Briançon, Puy Saint Vincent, Montgenèvre, and Sestriere with this pass at the ski lift company onsite.

For a surcharge of €25 per adult and €20 per child, you can have unlimited access to the swimming pool, ice rink, and sports hall for one week. It is not possible to book this in advance, but you can arrange and pay for this onsite.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

Please note that it is not possible to book additional ski rental for Tomorrowland Winter.

When you book additional ski equipment of the 'Gold' or 'Diamond' class, you can exchange this once a week for free snowboard equipment or freeride skis (not on weekends).

Bronze

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
