High in the Austrian Alps, at 1550m altitude, you will find the family-friendly Mountainclub Hotel Ronach. It’s a fantastic place to stay for an active family holiday in the mountains. The charming centre of Königsleiten and the nearest ski lift are 4 kilometres away.
After a busy day, it’s time to recharge your batteries. The extensive spa at Hotel Ronach is the place to be. In addition to a large indoor swimming pool, you will also find a steam grotto with real crystals, a Finnish sauna, an aroma sauna, and more wonderful relaxation facilities.
The romantic ski resort of Königsleiten is located at a height of 1600m. The high altitude makes it a great ski holiday destination, as it is fairly snow sure through the entire winter season. In addition to this, most of the accommodations are ski in/ski out. Königsleiten is the highest ski village in the Zillertal Arena. In one day you can ski via Gerlos to Zell am Ziller.
With the full Zillertal Superskipass you also have access to the famous resorts Mayrhofen, Zell am Ziller, Stumm, Finkenburg, Fügen and more. There is a free ski bus that runs every day and takes you all around the Zillertal Valley. The Zillertal Area has over 165km of ski slopes. There is 114km of red pistes, making this an ideal choice for average – advanced skiers.
Königsleiten is a great ski holiday choice for cross country skiers. There is a high altitude trail that is located at a height of 2315m. For non skiers there are also plenty of great options. Just 10km away at the resort of Wald there is an extensive spa called the Kristallbad. This features an indoor pool, outdoor pool, covered slide and sauna. There is also a child friendly toboggan run here. Once a week there is even the option to do moonlight tobogganing. Party goers will be satisfied with the number of great après bars available.
