Be right in the middle of the action, in Flachau

You will find the charming village of Flachau in the middle of the Salzburger Sportwelt ski area, in Austria. There are more than 100 kilometres of diverse slopes to explore in Flachau alone. Thanks to the arrival of the impressive G-Link gondola, you can easily reach resorts such as Wagrain, giving you even more options. The Salzburger Sportwelt ski area has more than 350 kilometres of slopes in total, with an efficient network of ski lifts. The G-Link gondola can accommodate up to 130 people at a time, so you can get to your destination quickly. Choose from numerous red and blue slopes or check out the spectacular black runs for experienced skiers. Be sure to stop at the cosy alpine huts along the way for a delicious lunch or a hot chocolate. Snowboarders take note: you won’t want to miss the internationally popular Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl or the Snowpark in Alpendorf. There are also 40 trails in the Salzburger Sportwelt that offer no less than 260 kilometres for cross-country skiers to discover. Bring your camera, because the wintery surroundings full of pine trees and fresh snow are absolutely stunning.

Accommodation in Flachau

There are 13 lifts in Flachau, including a gondola, six chair lifts, and six drag lifts. That means that wherever you decide to stay, you’ll never be too far from the slopes. From your hotel, apartment, or chalet, you will always have a quick way to reach the top of the mountains. Whether you are planning a ski holiday with family, a group of friends, or a romantic week in the snow, there is a wide range of comfortable accommodation in Flachau to choose from. You can even opt for a bed-and-breakfast for extra energy on the slopes or treat yourself to an all-inclusive stay. Make your holiday your own by tailoring it to your exact needs.

Snow and slopes in abundance

Flachau is part of the extensive Salzburger Ski Amadé ski area. If you book with Sunweb, your ski pass for the whole area will be included. This enormous ski area consists of 25 ski resorts over five different regions, including the aforementioned Salzburger Sportwelt. Hochkönig, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, and Grossarltal are also part of Ski Amadé. In addition to the G-Link gondola to Wagrain, the Panorama Link can get you to Flachauwinkl and Zauchensee. Thanks to the Dachstein glacier and its ideal snow conditions, you can often ski in Ski Amadé far into April. Nonetheless, there are plenty of snow cannons ready to help if needed. Flachau is also known for its welcoming après-ski atmosphere. Will we see you for drinks at the Hofstadl this winter?

Salzburger Sportwelt - Ski Amadé

The ski areas of Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann–Alpendorf, Radstadt, Altenmarkt–Zauchensee, Kleinarl, Eben and Filzmoos combine to form the ski resort Salzburger Sportwelt. 350 km (217 ml) of pistes and more than 90 lifts make this area the ideal option for skiers and boarders who enjoy longer ski tours.

Easy and intermediate pistes means that both novices and semi advanced skiers and boarders can enjoy the entire area. In addition there are also a few more difficult black runs, mainly in Zauchensee (to be reached via Flachauwinkl). Filzmoos is not directly connected to the other resorts. In Filzmoos you will find 8 lifts and 13 km (8 ml) of varied pistes. Salzburger Sportwelt offers the cross country skier approximately 220 km (137 ml) of cross country tracks.
