At Mondi Holiday Bellevue, you will have the luxury of a hotel as well as the freedom of an apartment. The apartments have fully equipped kitchens, so you can cook if you don’t feel like going out for dinner every night. The wellness centre and gym are both lovely and ideal for relaxing after a day out in the cold air. The children are always invited to the “kids club” where they can have fun and meet other kids. This happens four times a week and is free for children older than three.
Although there is plenty to keep you entertained inside the hotel, the lift is about 500m from the hotel and will take you up to an altitude of 2,200m. Now, it is time for you to discover the beautiful ski resort of Gastein!
The massive ski region of Ski Amadé in Austria is ideal for a ski trip packed with slopes and snow. It consists of five different areas: Salzburger Sportwelt, Hochkönig Winterreich, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, and Grossartal. Together, they feature approx. 270 ski lifts and 860km of well-maintained pistes. These ski areas are amongst the best in the world. The World Championships are held there regularly, as the high-quality slopes and facilities in Ski Amadé are renowned even amongst professional skiers.
Ski holidays to the Ski Amadé region benefit from a relatively long winter season, and the Dachstein Glacier makes Schadming-Dachstein an area you can usually ski in until late April. If there should be less snow than expected, snow canons are able to cover 88% of the slopes there with fresh powder, making skiing in Ski Amadé possible regardless of snow conditions.
One thing that makes skiing in Ski Amadé extra easy is the ability to stay connected wherever you may be. There are around 300 Wi-Fi hotspots located in the valley, the mountain stations, the huts, and the restaurants by the slopes. That means you’ll be able to plan your ski route for the day without using up all your data. With the Ski Amadé ski pass included with any Sunweb holiday package to the region, you can ski in all five areas with one card! Use public transport and the modern ski lifts there to get from one area to the another with ease.
The ski resorts of Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann im Pongau, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Kleinarl, Eben, and Filzmoos together form the Salzburger Sportwelt. There are approximately 350km of runs and over 90 ski lifts there, making the area varied but accessible. If you are an avid skier, then this is the perfect destination for you.
Its variety of pistes ensures that both beginners and intermediate skiers can ski to their heart’s content. However, there are also a number of more challenging black runs, particularly in Zauchensee, which is accessible via Flachauwinkl.
Please note that Filzmoos is not directly connected to the other ski areas.
This hospitable and quaint ski area at the foot of the Hochkönig is a dream for skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers, hikers, and families with children. It has something for everyone!
From the picturesque villages of Mühlbach and Maria Alm, you can enjoy a lovely day on the slopes. Snow canons ensure that both resorts are well-covered and the gondola from Maria Alm can take you directly to the 2000m high Aberg top, the starting point for some of the most spectacular runs in Ski Amadé.
Hochkönig Witerreich offers lots of variety and convenience. It has approx. 150km of runs, 31 ski lifts, and both Maria Alm and Mühlbach are connected by a ski bus. For cross-country skiers there are approximately 47km of trails to explore, with the longest being a 12km long trail in Maria Alm. This trail is also illuminated during the evenings, offering stunning views.
This world-famous ski area hosts an annual night-slalom, which attracts many skiers and snowboarders not only from the region but from across Europe. The area features nine mountains, with three of them reaching over 2000m in altitude and four of them are interconnected by several ski lifts and gondolas. The four mountains that are interconnected are Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, making them perfect for day trips and tours. If you wish to have a quieter day away from the slopes, the villages of Haus im Ennstal, Mandling, Pichl, Rohrmoos bei Schladming, and Schladming are all picturesque and welcoming.
Schladming-Dachstein has lots to offer for advanced skiers. For example, the Planai has very steep and fast slopes and the Reiteralm has, amongst other things, a black mogul field run. For those who are very competitive, you can even have your speed measured for free whilst descending this run. You’ll be able to post your action shot online and show your skills off to your friends and family back at home.
