Fiss is a traditional farming village that has turned into a modern ski resort without losing any of its traditional charm. Together with neighboring villages Ladis and Serfaus it has more than 200km of ski slopes.
This resort is great if you are travelling without a car, as most of the hotels are located right on the slopes. Fiss offers has a large variety of accommodations; from luxurious suites, to simple apartments and everything in between. There are some great traditional restaurants in this area, however the night lift is somewhat limited.
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is near, near the Swiss and Italian borders with no shortage of sunshine.. Since 1999 the area has undergone extensive development and now has more than 212 km of skiing fun for the entire family to enjoy. The slopes extend to an altitude of 2,820 meters and are tailored to suit all levels of skiing abilities. Experienced skiers can head straight to the Abfahrten Obere Scheid and Masnerkopf, while beginners will feel more comfortable on the slopes around the Mittleren Sattelkopf . There are more than 200 sunny days here per year, so pack the sun cream and get ready for spectacular views.
There are numerous snow cannons to ensure perfect snow conditions. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is known as the most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps. This is largely due to the numerous child care facilities, great ski schools and play areas. On the other hand, the après-ski scene is less extensive than in Tyrolean ski resorts. However, there are plenty of options available for those who are interested in celebrating a successful day on the pistes.
