Kühtai is one of the highest ski resorts in Austria, at approx. 2200 metres elevation. Due to the altitude of the village, Kühtai has excellent snow conditions for skiing. Usually, you can ski there from December all the way up until early May. The resort is most suited to intermediate and advanced skiers, but also families with older children. There are three children’s ski areas in the resort and all of the slopes end in the village, giving teenagers with more experience a safe area to further hone their skills. Snowboarders should head to the KPark in Kühtai, a snowpark with several creative obstacles to help you practice your freestyle skills. After skiing, head to Zum Kaiser Maximilian for a delicious snack or a refreshing drink right by the slopes.
Kühtai is a relatively small ski resort, giving you peaceful surroundings and an authentic experience that can be more difficult to get at large ski resorts. It also means that almost all of the accommodation in the village has ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes, so it will never take you long to start skiing. Kühtai is known for its luxury hotels, and VAYA Kühtai is a particularly popular choice. With Sunweb, you can choose from a wide range of VAYA Resorts throughout Austria, giving you access to exclusive and stylish rooms and apartments in prime locations.
