Skiing in Seefeld

It is a popular destination for cross-country skiers in particular, and events at both the Winter Olympics and the Nordic Skiing World Championships have been held there in the past. Its ski area is relatively small but perfect for beginners and families due its mostly wide and gradual slopes. It is also more peaceful than other ski resorts as a result. The vast majority of its slopes are covered by snow cannons, ensuring that the conditions will be perfect during your holiday regardless of the snow forecast. Snowboarders can also practice their skills there at the Rosshütte Snowpark, which features boxes, kickers, rails, and a freestyle landing pad. There is a casino and a cinema, and concerts and gala evenings are held there often. Most of the hiking trails in Seefeld run through its lush forest, giving you a beautiful view. One of its many cross-country ski trails runs right past the most iconic part of Seefeld: the Seekirchl, its picturesque lakeside chapel. If you’d like to keep being active after skiing, you can rent skates on the artificial ice rink in the village or take a ride on the thrilling toboggan run. Don’t miss Seefeld’s Olympic swimming pool, Olympiabad Seefeld. This modern and stylish pool includes several saunas, infrared cabins, a Kneipp pool and more. It even has a separate children’s pool and an onsite restaurant, making a great choice for a day out with the whole family. The culture-rich city of Innsbruck is only 20 kilometres away from Seefeld: perfect for a day trip during your holiday.
