Thanks to a direct connection via the Ki-West track with the resort of Wilder Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Alps is now the second biggest ski resort in Europe! Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, with approximately 279 km (173 ml) of pistes, is the biggest interconnected ski resort in Austria. The 8 persons cable car runs from the Kirchberger Spertental to the Gampenkogl in the resort of Westendorf.
The Ki-West lift covers a distance of nearly 3 km (2 ml) in only 10 minutes with a capacity of 1600 people per hour. The 4 km (3 ml) run constructed in 2009 can be completely covered with artificial snow if required. Shuttle buses provide a direct connection between the lower station of the Ki-West cable car, and the Pengelsteinbahn in Kirchberg (distance approx. 1,5 km / 1 mile). With the lift pass 'Kitzbüheler Alps All Star Card' you can also ski in the ski resorts of Alpachtal, Hochtal Wildschönau, Schneewinkel, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang and Zell am See-Kaprun. These five areas are not connected to each other but can still be reached by public transport. You really are spoilt for choice here!
