Location and surroundings

Flirsch am Arlberg

The lively village of Flirsch is situated in the great ski resort of Arlberg near St. Anton. It's ideal location means that the area enjoys a steady snow fall. The village is small and peaceful, tucked away in the beautiful Stanzertal. There is a ski lift in Flirsch for novice and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Both lifts are suitable for children as well. There are also plenty of options here for cross country skiers. The free ski bus service runs the 12 kilometers between Flirsch and St. Anton, allowing you to explore all of this amazing resort. Evenings in Flirsch can be spent in one the many lively bars or restaurant. If you still have energy to burn you can hit the dance floor until the early hours in one of the nightclubs like the famous Parseierhof!

Arlberg Skiregion

Ski holidays in the Arlberg skiregion, to which St Anton belongs, offers one of the biggest and most spectacular ski areas in Austria. It is very varied and there are many options at every level meaning Skiing in Arlberg skiregion provides something for everyone. The condition of the pistes is usually excellent and skiing back down to the resort centre is nearly always possible.

The Galzig cable cars have made skiing in the Arlberg skiregion very accessible. The highly experienced skiers and snowboarders can also enjoy the practically limitless off piste options when on a ski holiday in the Arlberg skiregion. The Arlberg lift pass also grants entrance to the resorts of Lech and Zürs. These are not directly connected but can still be reached easily with the, very well organised, ski buses. Besides the extra pistes, skiing in Lech offers you the opportunity to check out this famous village, with beautiful shops and a centre steeped in tradition.
