Niederau is a ski resort located 828 meters above sea level and is located in the romantic valley Wildschönau between Kitzbühel and Zillertal Alps. Niederau is the first village you encounter on the road to the valley and is also the largest of the four villages in Wildschönau. The village is easily recognized by the church tower of the parish church. The brightly colored parachutes of paragliders and hang gliders are often seen here because Niederau is the location for the Tyrolean famous paragliding school. You could take a tandem flight with one of the instructors or take part in guided walks organized by the local tourist office.
In Niederau you will find the atmosphere of Austria, combined with plenty of skiing. The village is a great base for a family holiday because of the relaxing atmosphere and the child-friendliness of the ski resort. There are lots of practice slopes for children. Not only can you ski to your hearts content, but you can also try some hiking, cross country skiing and tobogganing. For snowboarders, there is a separate snowboarding park with a halfpipe. For socializing after skiing, Niederau offers several nightclubs, cafes and eateries.
