When going on a cruise holiday, it is important to be familiar with the following:
- On board P&O Cruises, you pay by board pass. The board pass is also the key to your cabin. You link the board pass to your credit card or make a cash deposit at reception. Do this within 24 hours of boarding.
- It is important that your passport is still valid for at least six months after the cruise ends. Also check via Visa Central whether you need a visa for the destination(s) you are visiting during your cruise holiday.
- At P&O Cruises, the main language on the ship is English. Staff at reception and some crew members may also speak other languages.
- If you need a cabin suitable for disabled people, you can search specifically for this when booking the cabin (if available).
- Are you pregnant and would you like to go on a cruise? P&O Cruises welcomes all pregnant women up to 23 weeks pregnant. It is necessary that you can provide a medical certificate to show that you are still able to travel. The cruise line obviously does this in the interests of you and your child's health.

To obtain your cruise tickets, each guest must complete the web check-in via the P&O Cruises website. In this portal, you can enter your personal details, add a credit card and upload a passport photo for identification. Once that you have completed the online check-in, you can download your cruise ticket. Tip: to go through check-in faster, it is recommended to print the cruise tickets and luggage tags.
PLEASE NOTE: Web check-in starts 30 days before departure and closes at 10pm the day before your cruise.
P&O Cruises offers cruise holidays for everyone, also if you have special needs. On board you will find various facilities for people with physical disabilities. If, for example, you need a wheelchair, depend on special medication or have other medical needs, you must inform the cruise line. Please contact P&O Cruises or us immediately after your booking, to communicate your requests. After you have contacted us, you will receive a questionnaire by e-mail.
