When you go on a cruise holiday, it is important to be aware of the following:

  • Aboard Norwegian Cruise Line, you pay with a cruise pass. The cruise pass is also the key to your cabin. You will connect the cruise pass to your credit card or make a cash deposit at reception. Do this within 24 hours of boarding the ship.
  • It is important for your passport to be valid for at least another 6 months on the last day of the cruise. Check Visa Central to see if you need a visa for the country/countries you will visit during your cruise.
  • The working language at Norwegian Cruise Line is English. Reception staff and some crew members may speak other languages as well.
  • If you require a special access cabin, you can search for it specifically when booking the cabin. Subject to availability.
  • Are you pregnant and ready for a cruise holiday? Norwegian Cruise Line welcomes all pregnant people who are 23 weeks in or less. You are required to show a medical statement to demonstrate that you are still able to travel. Of course, the cruise company does this in the interest of your health and that of your child.

At Norwegian Cruise Line, you pay with the cruise pass of your cabin by connecting it to your credit card. You will receive the total bill at your cabin before the last day of the cruise and the bill is only charged to your credit card if you do not object.

In order to receive your cruise tickets, you need to check in with Norwegian Cruise Line between the 21st and 3rd day before departure. You need your Norwegian Cruise Line booking number, which you will find in 'My Trip' on the 'my booking' tab at the bottom of the page. Click here for online check in.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers cruise holidays for everyone, including people with special needs. Aboard, you will find a team of experienced professionals trained in supporting people with special needs or physical limitations. If you need a wheelchair, for example, depend on special medication such as dialysis or have other medical needs, you have to notify the company with this SRI form. Complete it right after booking or no later than 45 days before departure. If you need a sign language interpreter, you have to request one no later than 90 days before departure. And if you depend on a service animal, are pregnant or have a certain allergy, please complete this form as well to make sure everything is properly organised for your cruise holiday.
