  1. Les Deux Alpes, France

Les Deux Alpes is pretty much the perfect ski resort for those taking their first steps into the world of skiing. There are 162km of blue and green slopes, which means easy to master and not-very-steep – ideal for new and novice skiers. As a result, learning the basics in Les Deux Alpes is pretty straight-forward. If the blue and green slopes are too much to handle, the fun that can be had away from the slopes is up there with the best the French Alps can offer. Many guests book their ski holidays to Les Deux Alpes simply for a good party (or two) due to the booming après-ski scene. Alpine party-goers consider Les Deux Alpes to have the best nightlife in the entire French Alps. View offers: https://ski.sunweb.co.uk/search.aspx?N=4294966915

  1. La Plagne, France

What makes La Plagne special is that it consists of 8 different villages with their own centre and distinct atmosphere. There are villages that are more family-friendly and others that are perfect for a group of friends, La Plagne brings all novice skiers together in one resort. La Plagne is mainly blue slopes (a slight step up from the green), so if you fancy yourself as more of a second-time skier La Plagne would be a good fit. 1. Hinterglemm, Austria

The beauty of Hinterglemm, especially for a beginner, is that everything you need is on your doorstep. From the cable car to the fun park, you’ll be heading from one place to another in practically no time. The ski area is covered in blue slopes but even they have varying difficulty. So if the red slopes (you guessed it, more difficult than the blue but not as difficult as the black) are still too daunting, then you can work your way up to the more slippery blue ones dotted between Hinterglemm and Saalbach. 1. Kaprun, Austria

For aspiring skiers and snowboarders Kaprun is a relaxed introduction to two skills that are difficult, but not impossible, to master. There are usually good snow levels all season long in Kaprun meaning more snow to cushion your fall (as you may fall even on the easiest of slopes). When you’ve had enough of picking yourself up out of the snow, there are 25km of hiking trails. Of course, you can still fall over but at least you’ll be doing so at a lot less speed. In all seriousness, the trails are vast and they offer breathtaking views of the Alps. View offers: https://ski.sunweb.co.uk/search.aspx?N=4294966838

  1. Méribel, France

You’ll be right at home in Méribel as on and off the slopes it’s covered with Brits. If you head to one of the ski schools then you can expect the entire course to be in English. This means it’s much easier to pick-up all of the tricks and techniques that little bit quicker. View offers: https://ski.sunweb.co.uk/search.aspx?N=4294966442
