Can’t wait to escape on a ski trip and breathe in that fresh mountain air? We think you should plan a holiday to La Plagne this year, in the Paradiski region of France. You can do so much more than just skiing in La Plagne, and there are several ways to explore the area. To help you plan the ski trip of your dreams, we’ve compiled the top three reasons why we recommend this spectacular ski area:

1. La Plagne is a destination for everyone

La Plagne is located in the French Alps and, together with Les Arcs & Peisey-Vallandry, forms part of the Paradiski ski area. This ski area is one of the world’s largest. Skiers and snowboarders travel far and wide to enjoy its whopping 425 kilometres of slopes. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier, La Plagne has something for everyone and slopes for all ski levels. Thanks to the many ski lifts there, you can reach the slopes with ease and waste no time starting your snowy adventure. Are you an experienced skier who likes a little more variety and challenge? With a Paradiski lift pass, you can have your pick of the slopes. Take the first ski lift each morning, enjoy lunch at one of the authentic restaurants by the slopes, and grab some après-ski drinks at one of the atmospheric bars nearby afterwards. Which piste would you tackle first?

2. Enjoy fairy-tale views on the slopes

Blue, red, and even black: there is certainly no shortage of varied slopes in La Plagne. And every slope is more beautiful than the last! La Plagne features six ski stations and several resorts that are interconnected via ski lift. The gondola lift in Plagne Bellecôte will take you right up to the Bellecôte Glacier, where you can enjoy a truly stunning view. You can then ski back down to one of the nearby resorts for a hot drink. Would you like to expand your horizons with a visit to Les Arcs? The Vanoise Express will take you to the top of the Grande Rochette in no time at all. We highly recommend the Aiguille Rouge piste (from which you can see Mont Blanc!) and Les Verdons. Even after a week of non-stop skiing, you will still have slopes left to explore!

3. A winter paradise with endless fun

Although La Plagne is known as a ski destination, there are still plenty of other winter activities to enjoy there. Did you know that there is a snow park for snowboarders in La Plagne? Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can practice your skills on the halfpipe and rails there. Prefer off-piste adventures? You’ll have plenty to choose from! La Plagne is also a great holiday destination for hiking, paragliding, ice skating, ice climbing, or tobogganing. You can even go on a dogsledding excursion – an experience that’s not to be missed. If that’s not enough to pique your interest, how about bobsledding, glacier hiking, or even some night skiing?
