The ideal ski destination
Les Sybelles offers many activities for young and old which is perfect for UK citizens now when the French border is open again! Multiple airports are nearby and every Saturday there are scheduled bus services from the Chambery´s Airport. If you would like to go by train you can reach the ski resort from 2 different rail stations: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne Arvan SNCF station and Saint-Avre-La Chambre SNCF station. It is also very convenient to arrive to the ski resort by car, as you are only 9 to 25 kilometres away from highway A43, depending on which of the 2 exits you take. At La Toussuire, you can zip line and fly over Lake Eriscal. This 150-metre long zip line is located at the start of the Chaput chairlift. You can get there on skis or by foot. Thrills guaranteed! The area offers several different activities such as boardercross, freeride piste, tubing or even the Snowpy Mountain and the fun Vikings run. Les Sybelles also offer holidaymakers the opportunity to try activities other than skiing. The Sybelles area has many surprises in store for you!
For all winter sports enthusiasts
The Sybelles area is the 4th interconnected ski area in France, with 360° panoramas of the Alps. Here you will find several red runs and it also offers many possibilities for off-piste skiing. It is therefore a paradise for experienced winter sports enthusiasts. The most difficult runs are around St. Sorlin d’Arves and Le Corbier. Snowboarders can take advantage of the freestyle area Ouillon, in the great and secure snowpark. The slopes not to be missed are the blue slope of the Vallons, the red slope of the Tufs and the black slope of the Perrons Haut, all 3 located near St. Sorlin d’Arves. Or the La Combe track and the famous Jean-Noël Augert on the Corbier side. Novice skiers don’t worry! With 31 green runs and 58 blue runs, there is also something for you! The ski area even has 8 areas reserved for beginner so that you can learn to ski in peace.
Authentic villages
The ski area is made up of friendly and authentic mountain villages and 2 so-called modern resorts – Le Corbier and La Toussuire. For an authentic and cosy atmosphere, head to the villages of St. Sorlin d’Arves, St. Jean d’Arves, Les Bottières and St. Colomban des Villards. They each have their own character. The pedestrian resort of Le Corbier is 100% ski-in / ski-out, so they will particularly appeal to families. At La Toussuire, beyond the modern snow front, is a superb area with many chalets. The perfect place for an authentic ski holiday!
